About coexistence in Bulgaria

Workshop about coexistence was organised in Plovdiv (Bulgaria) from May 5 to May 8 in the frame of the project TRANSCONTAINER. The project is coordinated from The Netherlands and aims the exchange of information on rules and practices adopted in various Member states for coexistence between agriculture using GMO, standard and organic agriculture. Czech Republic was represented by prof. J.Drobník, Slovak Republic by dr. O. Habuštová. Presented documents and discussion (to be in extenso summarised later) showed that the rules are discriminating the use of GMO. Certain MS use them for in fact ban of GMO.
