Established in the Czech Republic in 1992 as a distributor of clinical chemistry and life science laboratory products, BioVendor - Laboratorni medicina a.s. started up the biotechnology department in 1995. The Research and Diagnostic Products division of the BioVendor - Laboratorni medicina a.s., is an innovative biotechnology company focused on developing and manufacturing in vitro diagnostic and for-research-use immunoassays, monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, E.coli and mammalian cell-expressed recombinant proteins, and purified natural proteins. BioVendor's R&D efforts are aimed at rapidly growing fields of interest within the international research and diagnostic community, such as Obesity and Metabolic syndrome, Diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2, Cardiovascular physiology and Atherosclerosis, Renal injury and disease, Bone metabolism/Osteoporosis, Neural tissue damage markers, Infection/Inflammation, Oncology/Tumor markers etc. Our products are based on long-term R&D activities, with some of these products being unique in the world, or being the first commercial assays available on the market. Our demanding customers include top-ranking world scientific institutions. Therefore, we opened our subsidiaries in Germany (BioVendor GmbH, Heidelberg, 2003), in the USA (BioVendor, LLC, Candler, NC, 2004) and in China (BioVendor Laboratories Ltd., Hong Kong and Guang Zhou, 2006) to strengthen our network of local distributors. BioVendor - Laboratorni medicina a.s., has been granted the EN ISO 13485:2000, ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 certificates, a fact that provides the guarantee that the whole process of developing and manufacturing all our products meets the quality control criteria required.
