October 2, 2013, WINOOSKI VT, USA — BioTek employees raised over $17,000 through fundraising and donations, and walked a brisk 3 miles with hundreds of other Vermonters on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in Burlington, VT as part of the 2013 Vermont Heart Walk to benefit the American Heart Association.
The event was especially poignant for the Company as one of their original and most beloved BioTekkers, Eric Perron, passed away earlier this year from a sudden heart attack. "Although Eric's physical heart ultimately failed him, it's his great, compassionate heart and joyous zest for life that we will all remember," noted Peter Weith, BioTek's VP of Marketing and Sales, and organizer of BioTek's Heart Walk team. "This is why we celebrate his life, and we work every day to ensure that people around the world can live healthier, safer lives."
