The new Enterprise Europe Network provides consultancy and services for small and medium sized enterprises, research institutes, universities, technology centres and business and innovation development agencies. The advantage of the Enterprise Europe Network is that all services are offered under one roof.
Launched in February 2008, Enterprise Europe Network aims to support small and medium sized enterprises in development of their innovative potential and innovative capacity.
This new European Commission initiative offers entrepreneurs a one stop shop where they can seek advice and benefit from a wide range of easily accessible business support services.
With its extensive expertise and contacts, the network offers practical assistance, whether a company is looking for a business partner in another member state, seeking advice on how to develop an innovative idea or even how to apply for European Research funding. The network can advise clients on technical issues such as intellectual property rights, standards and EU legislation.
All the organisations in the new network, with their different backgrounds in business, research and industry, have extensive experience of helping small companies. The majority had already participated in the two previous support networks - Euro Info Centres and Innovation Relay Centres - which had already operated for 20 and 12 years respectively.
Czech part of the Enterprise Europe Network is provided by BISONet project (Business Innovation SuppOrt Network for the Czech Republic), which is coordinated by the Technology Centre of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and has 11 partners.
