The Faculty of Environmental Sciences was established on 1 July 2007 with the authorization of the Accreditation Committee of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (20/6/2007) and by the approval of the Academic Senate of the CULS (26/6/2007), when the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Sciences divided into two entities: the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences and Faculty of Environmental Sciences. The Faculty consists of six departments (Land Use and Improvement, Ecology, Applied Ecology, Applied Geoinformatics and Spatial Planning, Water Resources and Environmental Modelling), which cover the entire scope of education and science at the Faculty. The Faculty provides a full three-level system of study according to the Bologna Declaration. It combines an environmental section and a landscape section.
