Beijing, China (August 20-23, 2010)
With the development of global industrialization, human beings must face the energy crisis and environmental pressures resulting from fossilenergy conceptions. In recent years biomass energy has become one of the most important elements of the sustainable energy system due to its abundance and renewability. Biomass energy has attracted great interests in research, development, and technology deployment. Strongly requested by the colleagues home and abroad, the International Conference on Biomass and Energy Technologies (ICBT2010), sponsored by the Chinese Renewable Energy Society (CRES), the Chinese Petroleum Society Refinery Branch (CPSRB), the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China (CIESC), the Chinese Society of Biotechnology (CSB), and the International Union of Biorefineries (IUB) will be held on August 20–22, 2010 in Beijing.
The ICBT2010 aims to provide a communication and exhibition platform for experts, scholars, and entrepreneur in the biomass energy field. The delegates will include not only renowned experts, scholars, and government officials, but also company executives and professionals of investment institutions in Asia, Europe, and the United States. At this event they will discuss and exchange their ideas on “hot spots”—novel technologies—and commercial development so as to encourage cooperative research on biomass energy technologies between China and other countries, and promote the integration of the Chinese biomass energy industry with international enterprises and investment institutions. This conference will also provide new development opportunities for international biomass energy institutions and enterprises.
