Lab Technician Specialist CTEF cGMP

Type of job: full-time

We are now looking for a new member of our team at the newly-established Cell and Tissue Engineering Facility – CTEF-cGMP facility. You should be an independent, responsible and detail-oriented person who takes pride in quality of your everyday work (this really matters). Your approach to work will have direct impact on the activities of the entire team.

The International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno (FNUSA-ICRC), Czech Republic is a new-generation research center focusing on the pathogenesis of diseases including finding new methods, technologies and medicaments for effective prevention, early diagnostics and individualized treatment.
We are a top Central European research center with more than 200 researchers, new technologies and experience in using EU grant support. Job Description:
This position is responsible for a variety of manufacturing support functions involving the operation of lab equipment and conduct of procedures/tasks according to established GMP, under the direction of senior staff.

You will:

  • Support research & development scientists in daily work and the laboratories
  • Carry out tasks in support of experimental and laboratory activities as directed by senior staff.
  • Conduct experiments to support production goals.
  • Operate laboratory equipment safely, as trained and directed, in accordance with established practices.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repair.
  • Obtain and stock laboratory supplies as directed.
  • Maintain records and notebooks as directed in an accurate, thorough manner.

Desirable Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in one of the following fields: medicine, veterinary medicine, natural sciences, bioengineering (with focus on molecular biology, physiology, immunology, biochemistry or similar)
  • Fluency in Czech, spoken and written (you will communicate with government authorities)
  • Advanced level of English, spoken and written (B2 level is a must)
  • Good knowledge of MS Office package
  • Experience with work in a laboratory environment and GMP background is an advantage
