22nd Annual Symposium of The Protein Society

San Diego, California, USA (July 19-23, 2008)

The meeting theme is Proteins: Machines of Life. The scientific program will include more than 50 invited speakers and 14 scientific sessions. Two Plenary Sessions will be featured on the topics of “Nucleic Acid Motors” and “Protein Motors.”

The 2008 Society Awards will be presented in Awards Plenary Sessions, and awardees will present plenary lectures. Sessions will address molecular mechanisms of protein folding, design, and dynamics from simple globular proteins to molecular machines, focusing in part on recent structural advances in nucleic acid and protein motors. The symposium will also feature sessions on complex multiprotein systems, including advances in structure determination, proteomics, and systems biology.
