POSTDOC POSITION IN ENZYMOLOGY & PROTEIN ENGINEERING

Loschmidt Laboratories are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to conduct interdisciplinary research in the field of enzymology and protein engineering.
We wish to understand the structure-function relationships of proteins and improve their functionalities for biotechnology and biomedicine. We study the mechanism of Alzheimer’s disease and develop novel drugs for acute stroke.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Study of molecular mechanisms of important biomedical problems
Construction of rationally designed mutants and/or libraries of proteins
Biophysical analysis of proteins using conventional and microfludic methods
Presentations at international conferences and workshops
Supervision and mentoring of students

PROFILE OF CANDIDATE:

Ph.D. in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology or related fields
Experience with protein biochemistry – expression, purification, kinetics
Well organized, responsible, self-motivated, creative and flexible attitude
Positive personality and a sense for team-work
