The objective of the meeting is to review current and future developments in DNA sequencing and to demonstrate the application of these novel technologies in the various fields of genome research.

The focus for 2008 will include:

1. Comparative genomics analysis  2. Bioinformatics and computational biology  3. Functional genomics approaches involving the use of large-scale and/or high-throughput methods.  4. Advances in genetic and genomics technologies and their applications, including chemical genomics
