Biomarker scientist and Operational Manager

For my client, prestigious biotechnological company I am looking for Biomarker scientist and Operational Manager.

Position summary

In its Biomarker team, you will work with an experienced team focused on the translational science, implementation, and execution of the biomarker testing activities for clinical programs, identification of predictive biomarkers and biomarkers for assessing drug efficacy in the context of immuno-oncology approaches to shed light on various clinically relevant immuno-oncology areas

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Implementation and execution of the biomarker testing activities for both early and later phase clinical programs in oncology
  • Work closely with Clinical Operations, other internal stakeholders, and CROs to implement the biomarker strategy and ensure the execution of the biomarker analysis
  • Analyze and interpret various immunological data (IHC, FACS analysis data) and cancer genomic data (RNA seq, NanoString, Tumor mutational burden, ctDNA analysis data, and other advanced genetic datasets) and other data coming from clinical trials in the context of immune-oncology approaches
  • Summarizing and presenting biomarker data in multidisciplinary global teams
  • Provide biomarker scientific and operational expertise and guidance to multiple cross-functional teams to implement scientifically driven translational work and clinical development
  • Responsibilities will be split between scientific (data analysis and interpretation) and operational tasks

Competences, Skills and Qualification

  • Master or advanced degree preferentially in Immunology or Molecular biology
  • Demonstrated hands-on expertise with immunological//cancer biology/translational science/biomarker/oriented projects
  • Organizational skills, multi-tasking, and attention to detail
  • A highly collaborative spirit and willingness to work in collaboration with several different teams and clinicians
  • Very good written and spoken English (B2 level)
  • Preferred qualifications
  • Understanding scientific concepts and experience in biomarkers and CDx operations
