Project: | Lab-scale tests of biological treatability of industrial wastewater |

Description: | |
The town of Usti nad Labem was equipped with a modern municipal wastewater treatment plant in 1997. This plant utilizes the so-called R-AN-D-N treatment process which was originally developed in co-operation of Prague Institute of Chemical Technology with a Prague design company HYDROPROJECT. The actual wastewater load to the plant is less than the design capacity which offered the possibility to treat also industrial wastewater from local chemical company Spolchemie. However, the industrial wastewater contains chemical compounds which could impair the biological treatment processes at the municipal plant.
