Description: | The SHIGEN project is being carried out at the Center for Genetic Resource Information, National Institute of Genetics, Mishima, Japan. The center was established in 1998, undertaking the role of an information archive of genetic resources in Japan. The National BioResource Project ( NBRP ) was started in July, 2002. The SHIGEN group is strongly involved in the project as an Information Center of NBRP. Objectives of SHIGEN are: to provide a portal side for science researches to find where they can obtain resource information, to provide the latest information about the Genetic Resource Committees's activities in Japan, to support the database construction of resources on demand by researchers who maintain genetic resources. |
