Summary: Improvement of vaccine and feed strategies in chickens depend on proper monitoring of the avian immune system. With the exploration of the chicken genome, tools have become available to characterize the chicken immune system. A scientist group from a Dutch University has developed tools to measure the immune system in chickens and are looking for partners active in vaccine formulations, feed additive development and/or chicken breeding for technical cooperation.
